High School Musical On Ice

Alex was invited by her friend Leilani to go see High School Musical on Ice. Oh my goodness was she THRILLED. She has talked about nothing else and now wants to go learn how to ice skate so she can be in it. We are so blessed to have such fabulous friends! Thank you Jurena family! The very best thing about today was that Alex got to go see a show she was totally ecstatic about, and I did not have to go!!! When she got home, she said, "Mommy, this was the best day of my whole life!" We need to get out more!

Whale Watching

What an absolutely amazing day we had! It was beyond incredible. We saw a group of three whales and got to follow them for quite a while. We were able to see them shoot water up and then dive back under and see their tails. It was like they were waving to us. It was incredible. Alex named them all - Cuties. I asked her why and she said, "Because they are all so Cutie!" (Just like our bearded dragon) There were also a group of about twenty dolphins that were playing and splashing around for us to observe. It was just so neat. Alex and Ben had a fabulous time taking pictures (though most pictures are of random peoples' bums and feet). My favorite is the picture Alex took of herself. We also got to see a group of sea lions. The baby sea lion on the second level of the buoy was also named...Cutie! When Ben saw the Pelicans, he asked me if it was the one that nipped my hand; when I was 12! It was by far a super wonderful day.

Jenn's Baby Shower

Alex and Ben were so thrilled to get to go to Babies R Us and pick out a few gifts for Jenn's baby shower for Cameron Claire. They wanted to get it all! Ben picked out a few chew rings and things and a rattle snake (always a snake) and Alex picked out a pink(like there is any other color) phone that plays baby music and some other little toys. The best part was watching them wrap their gifts. It was so funny. There was so much tape on these packages, and they still did not stay closed. They actually did better wrapping theirs than I did wrapping mine - I ran out fo wrapping paper!

Pump It Up

This place is awesome. We got to come for a birthday party of one of Alex and Ben's classroom friends. We had such a great time climbing through the tunnel course and going down the slide. We jumped and jumped and jumped. It was so much fun. What a neat place.

Cutie

Cutie is finally out of his brumation. He still seems a little lazy to me...What do you think?

Raking

Alex loves to help others. She decided this afternoon that she wanted to help Mr. Dibble rake his leaves. Armed with her fabulous new Christmas rake, thanks to Mr. Dibble, (I think he had a brilliant gift!) she went over and finished raking for him. She thinks it is the greatest thing and said she hopes our next house has trees that lose leaves.

He's Off!

Ben was off on his bike today. He did a super job. I was so very proud of him, but more importantly, he was so very proud of himself. He kept saying what a big boy he was and how he was super quick. I am so glad that my children do not have a lack of self confidence. Alex, of course, was Ben's biggest cheerleader and was so proud of him too!

Kasa Family

Monika and her kiddos, Sabrina and Nathan, came over today to play. Alex was thrilled to have a big girl over and that Sabrina wanted to sing and dance with her. So, equipped with an Echo Mic and Christmas songs, they sang 6 verses of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. (Don't worry, I too was unaware of the additional verses!) Ben and Nathan could not come sing, they were to busy with the Force! We are still waiting for Kim...

Basketball

We went to basketball class today. How can they come from Indiana and not know how to dribble a ball? They had so much fun and Ben kept yelling, "Did you see that, Mommy? I almost hit the net!" Guess I should have told him the ball goes in the net from the top, not the bottom!

Happy Birthday, Corey!

Alex and Ben were invited to Ben's buddy, Corey's 6th birthday party today. It was at McDonald's, which Alex and Ben LOVE! It was really a wonderful party. They all played in the tunnels and tubes having a blast, then they came and ate their meal and had cake and ice cream. They loved the McDonald's Happy Meal toys- that they usually never get. I think they thought it was the best party ever!
