Archery

We are still going to archery on Tuesdays with the Pira boys. Alex and Ben are improving quite a lot - Ben is so thrilled when he hits a balloon and always makes sure to ask me, "Did you see me, Mommy?!" And of course I always do. He even tries for the far target with the older kids. I am so proud of both of them!

Relax!

While Alex and Ben were having fun with Josh and Dylan, Dan and I went and enjoyed a foot massage and body massage. It was fun, but I think Dad fell asleep!

Karate

Alex and Ben were invited by their good friends, Josh and Dylan, to martial arts night out. It was fun to see them kicking and hitting. Besides a kick to the mouth, and a few loose teeth by Ben, I think they had a fun night.

Happy Birthday Drew!!

We went to the cutest birthday party today. Drew Peterson turned 4 (guess Alex and Ben should quit calling him Baby Drew) and he had a cowboy roundup! It was amazing. They got to drink root beer out of cool cowboy glasses and wore cowboy hats and scarves. They loved the pop gun party favors. Ben is still shooting his and it is a day later!

Happy Birthday, Caleb!

We we were invited to play miniature golf with Caleb for his 6th birthday. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Ben hit the ball out of Boomers, down the hill, across the road, into a ditch next to the highway! That takes talent. Alex got a hole in one! They had so much fun. We definitely need to go play again!

Engine # 10

Mr. Dibble, our wonderful neighbor, drove a huge fire truck home today. He drove it from Pennsylvania and is delivering it to Concord, California tomorrow morning. (We will have to keep an eye out for it when we move up north) Alex and Ben thought it was so cool and they loved sitting in the driver’s seat. They got to go on a ride around the block in it with Virginia. They were all smiles from ear to ear, and when Mr. Dibble turned on the lights – WOW! Their eyes lit up too! We are so blessed and very lucky to have such amazing neighbors!

Awanas' Badge #1

We have earned our first Sparks badge. This is only week three of Awanas and Alex and Ben learned four bible verses this week. I am so glad they love going so much. Alex said she wants to learn five verses next week. We might need to slow down or they will finish the entire year before Christmas! We are so proud of them! Now I have to find someone to sew on these well earned patches!

Play Day

Alex V. came over to play today! Ben was thrilled and had drove me nuts asking me every day if today is the day that Alex was coming over. They played the Star Wars Wii, went outside had a light saber fight, and back to the Wii. They made it to level 6 (have no idea if that is good or not, but they were thrilled!) I know the pictures look exactly alike, but they were taken almost two hours apart! Alex invited Hailey and Abby over to play. They had a tea party complete with graham crackers and pink lemonade and played house. It was a great day for both of them!

Chuck E. Cheese

We went to Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party today for their friend Darrian, we call him Peanut. They always have fun there, but Ben had a definite plan this time when he was there. He walks around looking on the ground for dropped tickets and tokens. He must have found over ten tickets – which he cashed in one at a time, so we have ten receipts for one each. He also found three tokens. He gets so excited when he finds one!

Greatest Kids!

Alex and Ben are the best kids in the world! Look how cute, and silly they are! This was taken at the Arts Off Broadway before their play practice. They thought it was the funniest thing they had ever see and done. They laughed and laughed.

Game Two!

Game Two! Virginia came with us to watch our game. Alex and Ben are doing such a great job. Alex hit the ball and forgot to run to run to first base. I think she was thinking it was the same as practice and she was just going to hit the ball again. It was so cute. I told her she did a good job; she just rolled her eyes and said, “Silly me, I did not know I was suppose to run!”

Our First School Play Day!

Alex and Ben each had a friend over to play …or friends. We had Abby, Kylie, Karen, and Matt over to play. The boys played Star Wars and the girls played house and Barbie. It was fun for each of them to play what they wanted to with their friends. I never realized how much six kiddos can eat. A box of dinosaur chicken nuggets, a box of gogurts, string cheese, carrots (they all got eaten too) and fruit. That was supposed to last a month! I must admit, it became quite loud when they all went on a musically parade. Thanks again Mom for all those nice and quiet recorders you send in your last box. They work too well!! The girls dressed up and put on a Cinderella play and then a fabulous Sleeping Beauty play. They did a great job and it was super cute. After their last friend had left, and we cleaned up the enormous mess, Alex and Ben asked when their friends could come over again.

Ben got a job!

Ben is becoming quite the enterprising entrepreneur. Today he took the rocks him and Alex had painted and went door to door selling them for a nickel. He made over $4.00 just going to five of the houses in our cul-de-sac. He was so thrilled. He of course had to share his profits with his workers who went door to door with him, Alex and Kiera. He gave each of them a dollar and still made over a two dollar profit. He was ecstatic. It was so fun to watch.

Go Padres

We got swim today with Daddy, Grandma, Aunt Debbie, and Adam. It was so much fun. Decked out in our bright orange Padre hats, we got to go to Petco Park to watch the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants play baseball. It was Adrian Gonzalez Day and we all got a Bobble head toothbrush holder of him. It was so much fun to eat hotdogs and peanuts. Too bad the Padres lost.

More Padre Pictures!
