Cutie

We took Cutie outside to play in the sun. He, true to form, just laid there and slept. I can not imagine how these things survive in the wild. They are too lazy!

Sparkles

Sparkles passed away. Alex was devastated and cried for the rest of the day. It was absolutely heartbreaking. She decorated a box, quite fancy with ribbon and bows and stickers, for her. And Ben made a cross and we added her to our pet cemetery out back. It was a very sad day.

GO Lugnuts!

This morning was Opening Ceremonies for Alex and Ben's T-Ball. Ben and Dan went to celebrate. (Alex went to the Girl Scouts Hunger Has No Holiday instead). Go LUGNUTS!!!

Father Daughter Dance

Dan came home to take Alex to her Father Daughter Dance at school. It was a western. It took quite a lot of persuasion to have her not wear her princess dress with her boots and cowboy hat. I am not too sure Alex understood the handkerchief was not an orphan look, but she looked adorable! She and Dan had a super time. Alex loved the corsage Dan bought for her.

Dan & Cutie

Cutie was as thrilled as we were to have Dan home! YEAH! Cutie planted a big kiss on Dan's cheek and did not move it! And Dan tells me he does not appreciate Cutie. Ah.. reptile love!

Fashion

Ben had cold feet this morning and went and got his slippers on. No biggie, but he said he could not decide which pair of slippers he wanted to wear, so he wore one of each.

Awana Spark Games

Alex and Ben went to the Awana games in Ramona. They were so thrilled to ride the bus up. WE love buses for some strange reason! Unfortunately, the bus never made it out of the church parking lot, so we threw all of the kiddos, Alex, Ben, Chase, and Nathan- Mommies too, Kim, Melissa, and I in the van and up we drove. It was the cutest thing. There was the Sparky Crawl where they all crawled across the floor(Ben's bottom was so high up in the air I had to laugh!), the Sparky Safari, Bean Bag In & Out (Alex did a fabulous job and they won), Sparky Bowl, Sparky Train - (they both ran so fast and did a great job and they both won), and a Balloon Pop. It was a very fun day! Their Sparks Team won first place too. That made it all the more exciting and memorable day.

Chef Ben

Today Ben wanted to make his own sandwich and mine too. He made himself a delicious peanut butter and honey. As fabulous as that was, it was nothing compared to the scrumptious sandwich he made me. Cheese, lettuce, cashews, rice chex, and a granola bar (well, part of a granola bar, he ate most of it before it made in onto the sandwich) all gingerly placed on two slices of bread. Do I have the sweetest, most thoughtful children or what? I am so lucky!

T- Ball

Ben had his first Lugnuts T-ball practice this evening. Alex was at Girl Scouts. He did very well and had a super time. Besides asking me if I saw him constantly, "Mommy did you see me?" and his self evaluation, " I rock, don't I?" It is so fun to watch. He definitely does not lack for self confidence - wonder where he inherited that trait...DAN????

Dodgeball

Alex and Ben are playing dodgeball. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen. They stand so far back, so they won't get hit by a ball, that when they throw, it does not even come close to crossing the center line. They laugh and have so much fun. It is great to watch. Alex was the last person on her team one game to be hit by a ball, and Ben caught the red ball- which mean everyone on his team gets to come back into the game. Of course he was so excited and wanted to make sure I saw, that as he was telling me, he was hit by a ball.
