Read-A-Thon

Today was our Read-A-Thon day. Alex and Ben thought it was the coolest thing ever to wear their pj's to school. They got to go anywhere in their room to read. Alex and her friends loved the calendar corner, and Ben loved to crawl and hide under his desk.

Ice Skating

Alex got to go ice skating with her Daisy Troop. It was such a fun afternoon. The sun came out and made it a beautiful day. Alex was soaked from the melting ice and falling at the beginning, but three hours later, she was dry and zooming around the rink.

Play days!

Play days are hard during the week, so Alex invited her friend, Sydney, over and Ben invited Liam on Friday for Pizza and a movie. The girls were ready for the new Tinker Bell movie - they even dressed for the occasion! Ben and Liam missed the movie, but they worked hard to defeat the Dark Side!

Checkers!!

It is hard to find things for Ben to do when he gets up at 6:00 on Saturday morning. We told him to go play. An hour later when we get up, he is on the kitchen floor, playing checkers against Jack. Poor Jack did not do very well - Ben is just too good! He was so proud of himself for winning!

Bread bowls

Our yummy, and adorable, turtle bread bowls we bought down a tthe pier, filled with mac-n-cheese! JoJo, Nathan, Alex, and Ben loved them!

Happy NEW YEAR!!!

Happy 2010! WOW! It is hard to believe that it is a new year. This was a very fun new years. We had Grandma Shike visiting and the Harp's drove up to celebrate with us. Uncle Tommy and Cousin Adam came over and the neighbors, the Items, stopped by for some fun! Lots of pan banging, horn blowing, party popper fun!
