More Balloons!!

Alex and Ben got to walk around to each hot air balloon and get a trader card, sort of like baseball cards, only cooler - they have hot air balloons on them. They were having a blast - me too!

Still More Balloons!

The balloonists tries to drop a sand bag as close to a circle marker as they can - then they try to grab a golden key off a pole - it was great to watch them try - funny too! They sky was incredible - splashes of color everywhere!

Meteor Crater

We made it! The Schepers, Luke and Claire and their mom, Susan, Alex, Ben, and I, drove to Albuquerque to see the hot air balloons. They were amazing. We left Wednesday night about 6:00 from downtown San Diego, and began our journey. We stopped in Flagstaff for the night. Bright and early the next morning we were on our way. We stopped "on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, " and saw Meteor Crater. That was one big hole in the ground. The kiddos thought it was fun but had a hard time figuring out where the meteor was.

Sundae Bar

I think Alex and Ben's favorite part of the trip was the sundae bar at the hotel - can you honestly imagine how many cherries are too many? Ben can not!

More Disneyland!

Disneyland

Dan came home and we took Ben and Alex to Disneyland. We went up Saturday evening and got to eat dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen. It is always so much fun. They got to dance and play music with Goofy. Dan and I got a little worried when Goofy came around to our table and gave Alex and Ben a hug. After he left, Alex said she thinks she felt a person inside and asked if he was real. I told her I did not know, and asked her what did she think. She said she thought it was a person in a costume. I asked her not to tell Ben. Dan and I were so sad that she no longer thinks they are real. A few minutes later Mulan came to our table. I was waiting to see what Alex thought, but she did not question her and after she left, Alex said, “But she was real, right?” I of course lied! We got to get into Disneyland at 6:00 in the morning because it was Hannah Montana’s 16th birthday party and Gay Pride Day. We rode everything. It was a fun day. The highlight of course was when Ben was selected to become a Jedi and got fight Darth Vader! WOW was he big and Darth Maul had Alex hiding and crying behind Dan because she was scared that Ben would get hurt. TOO CUTE! Such a fun day!

We got to go to a friend's pool and swim Wednesday after school. It was so much fun!
