Dress Rehearsal
Today was dress rehearsal for their play, Sleeping Beauty. I was amazed at how well all of the kids did. Alex and Ben were thrilled to be on stage and kept asking if everyone was going to come watch them. I assured them that Daddy and I would not miss it for anything. I can not wait until we get the DVD so everyone else can watch!
Ben made such a handsome little prince and Alex was a beautiful butterfly and bird.

Riley's Farm
Today we got to join the Peterson's on their school field trip to Riley's Farm. It is a Colonial farm that lets you learn about things in that time period. We got to churn butter, learn to write with a quill, Ben learned how to bow properly to a lady (lifting his hat and all), while Alex learned to curtsy. They learned a dance, how to weave, games of the time period, which they loved!, helped an apple press make cider (or ale), watched a silversmith melt and reform metal, and help carry a Colonial flag. It was so neat. The highlight of course was this monstrous apple pie that I purchased to take home. It was beyond delicious!

LEAVES
One thing I miss about Indiana is the changing of the leaves. Today, Alex and Ben got to go help Mr. Dibble rake leaves. He then treated them to a leaf shower and piles to jump in. They had the best time. I am not too much sure how much help they were, but they loved it and did not want the fun to stop!
