We drove out to Williams, Arizona, to ride the Polar Express. It was a chance to experience the magic of The Polar Express, the classic children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. The Polar Express came to life when the train departed the Williams Depot for a journey through the dark and quiet wilderness for a special visit to the "North Pole." We got to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while listening to the magical story. It was great to watch the joy on the Alex and Ben's faces when the train arrived at the North Pole, where Santa Claus and his reindeer were waiting! Santa then got aboard The Polar Express and handed each child their own special gift- a silver bell. Ben was really quite when Santa got on the train. Once Santa came by and gave him his silver bell, he exclaimed, "Yeah, Santa thinks I have been good!" It was a wonderful evening. Though after a 6 hour drive, and being unaware of the time change, left us a little tired.
