We played soccer today - because nothing says fun like 25 kiddos kicking a ball on day hot summer day. Alex and Ben loved it and Alex keeps saying she wants to play all of the time. They did very well for it being a group of kindergarten through 3rd graders together and the fact that they have never played before (minor detail).
Alex and Ben have completed two weeks of school – and there were no tears at all this week – WOO HOO!! It was so cute this morning when I dropped Ben and Alex off at their door. They same routine – hugs, kisses, kiss their hand (from the book the Kissing Hand) I must have kissed Ben’s hand 20 times, he keeps asking for one more, “But I need one more…” Anyway, as he was walking into the room, a little person yelled, “Ben!” and ran up and gave him a big hug. It was Ben’s friend, Alex V. I have now seen the very elusive Alex V. and I can verify that he does truly exist. I was beginning to wonder if he looked the same as Ben’s notorious NoNos. (You know the NoNos – the ones who ate the cookies off the counter – they took Daddy’s change from his desk – those NoNo’s are quite mischievous!) It was fabulous to see someone so excited to see Ben and Ben to be so thrilled to have a friend.
